Those who are living in relationships full of hypocrisy will tell you everything in their relationships is going on very well and perfect. But in my journey of life, I have not seen any perfect human relationship. All near-perfect human relationships come with self-control, respect for each other, covering up each other’s excesses, love unlimited, and more.
This is the truth: “every human relationship has its challenge” as far as you are both of you not from the same home, and that you were brought up with different backgrounds; values, and principles. Not only that, our temperaments vary and play out differently in moments with emotional upheavals. Thus, the best cure for relationship differences, misunderstandings, and down moments are: tolerance, listening carefully to each other, respect each other’s view in the face of differences of opinion, giving space when necessary; keep quiet when the need be, and speak less when tempers are high.
You must be ready to say am sorry when you go wrong or sometimes when you know you are right, but your partner is not ready to give in. Note: arrogance and self-righteousness don’t make a good human relationship. Always remember none of you is perfect and there is no perfect human being. I think what makes some couples happy in the face of challenges are: self-control, respect for each other and each other’s views, covering up each other’s excesses, love unlimited, and many more as I shared in my previous week’s article.
The best antidote: Never allow third parties and intruders to take hold of your relationship with their personal dos and don’ts. If you allow them, they can easily manipulate you and dictate what is good or not good from their personal points of view; with their whims and caprices. For me, the ultimate in a love relationship is both partners should create their own balance around their life purpose and relationship. Fulfilling your dreams in a relationship, you must understand what you both want in the relationship, discuss your aspirations, create your own boundaries and find your happiness.
Identify what makes your partner happy and celebrate each other’s happy moments together. Identity ‘your happy yourself moments’ and be happy together. Love is sweet, but it has its dark moments; conquer your dark moments with tolerance, respect for each other, and love unlimited. I wish you happiness and true love in your relationship after the Valentinus’s Day.
