Meet The Most Celebrated Hausa And Zongo Youth Chief Of Greater Accra

Akamba Expresses Gratitude to Well-wishers on His Birthday.

You Took Ghana From Hero To Zero – Alhaji Sinare Jabs Nana Addo, Bawumia, And The Npp.

Her commitment to relieving the plight of vulnerable children in society has won her recognition among her peers.
This was after her Creativity, Activity, Service Project (CAS project) became a reality; warm up hearts and put smiles on faces of many children.
Khadija Lukman, 17, a final year International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBD) student of the Morgan International Community School (MICS) at Gomoa Manso, a village in Central Region of Ghana became the happiest person on earth to see faces of over 100 school kids from the Prince-Mac International School beam with smiles at the handing over of a 4-seater toilet facility to the school.
The building project, an initiative of Khadija became successful through the support of her family and friends including the Cleanext Ghana Limited, a leading Ghanaian construction firm who erected the magnificent structure.
It was intended to cushion the entire school population, serve as a place of convenience with much focus on the welfare of children on campus in the absence of a befitting toilet facility.
According to the benefactress Khadija, she was touched by the plight of the children upon realization they are confronted with a choice of a suitable place of convenience to attend nature calls during school hours. It dawned on her the school is battling a huge infrastructure problem which ought to be met.
“I saw toilet facility as a pressing need of the school during one of my visits. I’ve heard that children actually fall into it on several occasions, so I didn’t want that to happen anymore, therefore, I’ve decided to take it up as a project to help build a facility for them”.
Narrating how she nailed the whole project, Khadija said: “During one of my vacations, I went home and told my parents about it. My dad works with Cleanext Ghana Ltd. so I contacted him, wrote them a letter and was told GH¢6,500 is required to complete the overall project so I quickly went home to inform my mother who assisted me raised the amount through the support of friends and families”.
Little Khadija did not only raise the said amount but also gave the structure an impressive look with the touch of a painter’s brush with the support of 3 of her mates.
When asked to know her feeling about the achievement, she said:” I feel so excited knowing my mission has been accomplished. You can see the smiles on faces of these little ones, it just goes to say it all”.
She advises others to strive hard and reach out generously to ease the plights of vulnerable children in the society adding, “so that your blessings will be full”.
The Coordinator of the Creativity, Activity, Service Project (CAS Project) at MICS, Ms. Anna Dankwaah Dick-Sagoe in an interview maintained that Khadija’s project forms part of a core mandatory aspect of the IBD programme which is being run by the school.
According to her, the program seeks to break academic records of students, helping them to function effectively outside the classroom.
“We expect students to explore communities, identify their strengths and what they can do based on their capabilities and students are supposed to raise resources to finance any project that they find”.
“So Khadija was able to raise a significant amount of money to put up this facility with the support of the Cleanext Ghana Ltd. including other donors”, Anna concluded.
The Principal of the Prince-Mac International School, Prince Kweku Adobah Keelson was all joy when the befitting 4-seater facility was handed him on behalf of the school.
He thanked Khadija and the management of the Morgan International Community School for the kind gesture shown them.
Prince also used the occasion to appeal to philanthropists, individuals and corporate organizations in the country including the government to come to the aid of the school, adding “the school is faced with infrastructure problem including the lack of educational materials to advance teaching and learning in the community.
The handing over ceremony was graced by the chief and elders of the community including some parents and guardians of the school kids.
Prince-Mac International was established on February 28, 2013, as a Private Limited Liability Institute School (preschool) to selflessly groom children to achieve academic and moral excellence within the community where children education remains a huge challenge.
The school is situated in Gomoa Manso, a typical village located within the Central District of the Central Region of Ghana.
