Hip-life artiste, Kofi Kinaata has suggested that, the late Paapa Yankson deserves a state burial pending his tremendous contributions to the music industry.
Kofi Kinaata made this suggestion in his recent interview on an Accra-based Class FM, noting that Paapa Yankson is a legend who has contributed meaningfully to Ghana’s economy through music.
[ads1]On a personal level, the ‘Confession’ hit-maker described the high-life legendary as his role model, tutor, and advisor.
He also revealed that, he has visited Paapa Yankson several times in his home.
“He was a role model and a mentor; his sounds were the only sounds that we were listening to in Takoradi. I see him as a father. After the 2017 VGMAs I went to his house and he gave me a whole lot of advice.”
“I agree that he should be given a state burial, that won’t be bad at all, it is a nice idea that will even boost our morale especially the young ones. That will mean when you live up to expectation you will be recognised.”
