The Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Agona West constituency, Mr. Frank Freebody Mensah, has slammed the area’s Member of Parliament, Madam Cynthia Mamle Morrison, for underdevelopment.
Frank Freebody Mensah argued in a press release that the MP has failed in all indices related to restoring constituents’ lost hopes, and that she should be voted out in the 2024 general elections.
According to Freebody, the lawmaker’s failure to fulfill her promise to build an astroturf was even a fiasco, adding that the youth chose to compete in the “Small Poles Gala Competition” during the festival.
He also claimed that the MP has ignored the main bridge connecting to the Nkyakrom township, which has been closed for several years, making economic activities in the area difficult.
He criticized Madam Morrison’s refusal to honor traditional rulers’ invitations, instead instructing someone to represent her at this year’s Festival, only for the Person in Question to relay the information that the main bridge can’t be fixed, so footpaths will be preferable for temporary use, and drivers should use a bye-pass road with curves, which is extremely dangerous for vehicles to ply.
He also indicated that the NPP-led administration had collapsed the Ghanaian economy, but that the next NDC government could salvage what was left of the economy.
“Hon. Cynthia Mamle Morrison should commence preparing her exit note for shamelessly inflicting constituents in Agona West with unbridled suffering,” he insisted.

AGONA NYAKROM AKWAMBO YOUTH GALA COMPETITION
POWER TO THE YOUTH✊✊✊
On Sunday, August 13th 2023, We joined the Nyakrom Youth in hosting a Community Football Gala as they celebrate this year’s Akwambo Festival. Alongside my Branch Youth Organizers and the YouthFocus Team, We attended the event to effectively market our Presidential, H.E John Dramani Mahama and Parliamentary Candidates, Miss Ernestina Ofori Danbgey(Obaapapa Tina) , even though campaign hasn’t officially been launched.
During the event, I took the opportunity to share the NDC’s plans for the Youth, such as scrapping the Tax on Betting and creating more travel opportunities for them as sports men to enhance their career should the NDC assume government.
We also highlighted the MP, Hon. Cynthia Mamle Morrison’s failure to fulfill her promise of constructing an Astro Turf which left the Youth with no choice than to play a Small Poles Gala Competition. Very unfortunate!
We assured and reassured the Youth that the NDC would address that issue when given the nod in 2024 so as to create an enabling environment for their carrier choice like Hon. Queenstar Pokuah Sawyerr is doing in Agona East (Nantifa) even though her party is not in Power.
Additionally, we emphasized the NDC’s commitment to developing talents, citing the Agona West Ndc Youth Football Championship as an example.
To support the Football Gala Competition, we made a donation of Ghc500.00 and 4 packs of Bottled Water to help facilitate the competition.
Folks, let’s continue to do our part, no matter how small, to help regain power and save the country from this economic hardship.
“Brighten the corner where you are.”
