A youth group of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Afadzato South Constituency in the Volta Region has congratulated the newly elected executives of the constituency.
The group has also commended members of the party for their efforts and support towards the success of election.
[ads1]In a press statement signed by the President of the group, Mr. Eric Klu, the success of the election did not come by itself but the hard work the entire members during the pre-election period.
According to him, the victory of the newly elected leadership is a result of the promises they made to the members. He used the opportunity to remind them of their promises.
“we believe that the victory won by the newly elected executives, among other things, came as a result of the ‘staunch’ promises the Constituency Chairman-Elect – Mr. Gershon Zuttah made to the good people of Afadjato South, much of which centers on the youth.” – Mr. Klu said
“With one voice, we the people humbly appeal to you, executive-elects, to factor these promises into your tight agendas and work with the timelines as promised by you to us.” – He added

We wish to congratulate all executive-elects in the just ended constituency elections of the New Patriotic Party in the Afadjato South Constituency. We duly commend you for your hard work during the pre-election period which translated into victory. We pray and hope that you continue in that spirit in the discharge of your duties when you officially assume work as our newly elected executives.
More so, we want to use the opportunity to also congratulate the other contestants who could not succeed in their quest to be elected as executives. Your collective cooperation has gone a long way to demonstrate the intra-democratic principles of the NPP and has given more credence to our national democratic discourse. We look forward to seeing your efforts consolidated to include diversifying ideas and experience from both sides to help project the party’s agenda towards 2020.
Furthermore, we believe that the victory won by the newly elected executives, among other things, came as a result of the ‘staunch’ promises the Constituency Chairman-Elect – Mr. Gershon Zuttah made to the good people of Afadjato South, much of which centers on the youth.
Key among these promises are;
1. Building of party offices in six(6) communities.
2. Purchase one(1) pickup car in six (6) months time for the party.
3. Assisting the youth to seek greener pastures.
4. Create jobs for the teeming youths in the constituency
We were particularly happy as youths, and so were many others who were also drawn to these stimuli.
With one voice, we the people humbly appeal to you, executive-elects, to factor these promises into your tight agendas and work with the timelines as promised by you to us.
We are happy to see a greater percentage of the executive board constituting the youth and we trust you will deliver with much energy and zeal. We, therefore, hope to see the resourceful and promising youth champion the course of serving the good patriots of Afadjato South.
We wish you all the best in your tenure of office and promise our unflinching support and cooperation to ensure
that together, we serve the NPP and the people of Afadjato South better.
