A group calling itself, Save our Democracy now, has given the government a three (3) day ultimatum with immediate effect to makes available the entire report of the committee that recommended that the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs. Charlotte Osei and her two deputies be removed.
[ads1]A statement signed by the Minister of Information and presidential spokesperson announcing the removal from office the chairperson of the electoral commission Mrs. Charlotte Osei and her two deputies Mr Amadu Sulley and Ms. Georgina Opoku Amankwah on bases of incompetence and misbehavior.
However, the group expressed disappointment of the fact that, the president could go ahead to remove from office the EC chairperson and her two deputies without making available the said report indicting them for stated incompetence and misbehavior especially when this matter is a sensitive one which boarders on our consolidated democracy as a country.
The group further demanded president makes available the entire report of the committee so they could all fairly analyse the decision to remove from office the electoral commissioner and her two deputies or face their wrath.
