The children in a more respectful gesture, had the opportunity to be served by chiefs of the Asogli State, including Togbe Afede, who led the team of chiefs to ensure every child that showed up on the day had something to eat or drink.

Addressing the children on Wednesday, Togbe Afede XIV urged the children to be obedient, respectful and persevere in their academic studies to become important people in future so as to play useful roles in the society. Togbe Kasa III of Ahoe, who spoke on behalf of Togbe on Sunday, entreated the gathering to train their children into becoming good leaders towards nation building.

According to Togbe Kasa III, there would be no bright future if the youth lack the right upbringing, coupled with the use of drugs and improper dressing among others. He therefore called on parents (aged), to put their feet down and ensure that the young ones are given the needed discipline in shaping their lives towards a better tomorrow, with the spirit to building a better society.

Mama Agblatsu III, Afetor-nyornufia of Bankoe on behalf of Shepherd’s Centre of Ageing, commended the Agbogbomefia for his initiative to annually host the aged to a dinner table and in effect, uniting to create a joyful old age for every aged person.
