The 2019 edition of ‘Independence Day Concert’ has been successfully launched.
The event, scheduled for March 5 at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra is a collaboration between Burniton Music Group and the Labadi Beach Hotel.
Announcing the festival at a press conference, multiple award-winning dancehall artiste Livingston Etse Satekla known in show business as Stonebwoy assures patrons of the “biggest concert” and promised to share “the vibes with them on that day” which happens to be his birthday.
The BET award winner said, “March 5 is going to be beautiful. First of all, I will urge the masses to come in their numbers because they love music and respect the artiste Stonebwoy and I will love to share the vibes with them on that day. My management, production team and all stakeholders of this concert will make sure patrons are blown away.”
Labadi Beach Hotel General Manager, Michael Rathgeb expressed his outfit’s excitement of being part of the Independence Day Concert and also thanked Ghanaians for supporting the Labadi Beach Hotel since its establishment in Ghana for nearly 3o years ago.
‘We’re happy to be part of this event that defines who we are and what we stand for. Labadi Beach Hotel is almost 30 years old and we want to say a big thank you to the Ghanaian community using this event,” Mr. Rathgeb said.
He also disclosed the Hotel’s plans of promoting Ghanaian music by supporting budding musicians in the industry.
He said, “We also want to promote budding Ghanaian artistes because the talent in Ghana is extraordinary. We are happy to host the event here in Labadi Beach Hotel and I know we will all have an epic show come March 5.”
Artistes performing on the day among others include Bhim Nation signees Kelvynboy, Ov and the CEO himself Stonebwoy will be dishing out ravishing performances.
