The Member of Parliament for North Dayi Constituency, in the Volta Region; and Ghana’s Ambassador for Human Trafficking, Hon. Joycelyn Tetteh has learned with shock and sadness the recent kidnapping of young girls in Takoradi and other parts of the country.

While her heartfelt sympathies goes to the affected families, she nonetheless condemns in no uncertain terms the wicked act and calls for a lasting solution to this menace.

The astute human trafficking Ambassador is calling on the Ghana Police Service and The National Security apparatus to expedite action in bringing the perpetrators of this inhuman act to book while putting in place stringent measures to forestall future occurrences.

She is also calling on government to be true to its 2016 manifesto promise to provide adequate security for the citizenry such that everyone can go about their daily activities without fear of harm or danger.
