Director of Elections for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Elvis Afriyie Ankrah has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of General Secretary for the opposition NDC if nominations are opened.

Mr Ankrah made this comments in an interview with TV3’s Roland Walker on Friday, June 24.

“In November when nominations are opened, I will be filing for the General Secretary position,” he revealed

The seasoned politician further said that he has a vivid fathoming of what the NDC should do and has the locus to take up the mantle to become the next General Secretary of the Party and also versatile to work with any calibre of person in the Party

Mr Ankrah If he’s crowned the General Secretary of the Party, he will be taking the barton from the current General Secretary Johnson Asiedu who is rumored to contest for the National Chairmanship position of the party.
