Corruption, thievery or armed robbery in the even days we were growing was a very serious crime and their resulting effects are devastating. But today it is a fun fare to be a tag with corruption.
I was shocked to my bones marrow to see Charles Bissue the face of all corrupt deals when it comes to fighting against illegal mining instead of him facing prosecution he was rather encouraged to marry a non-performing deputy minister under Akufo Addo administration.
In Ghana, today groceries that supposed to be relatively cheaper or less than one cedis in the local markets is been sold for two cedis and above. This is because suppliers or the retailers after or before payment need to settle from the CEO to the last labourer in their outfit.
Until my last visit to my home town, I certainly thought the thievery is a phenomenon in Accra alone.
Fertilisers and other agricultural inputs meant for Government planting for food and jobs program been hauled away on motorbikes to Togo.
My little investigations led to one man whom I was told serve as the pivot for the corrupt officers in the Assembly and their counterparts in Togo.
I know very well many people in my home town are aware of this, but they don’t know whom to report to, Or afraid of victimisation.
Don’t be surprised if President Akufo Addo is been denied the second term. Because he might mean well for the progress of the country but his people are evil from the top to the grassroots
Can we continue to allow this cancerous infection to eat up all of us?
We have a country, a city, a village and a house to protect as individuals let all get involve………
