The Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo has taken the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Attah on the cleaners saying his claim that over 90% of the collapsed DKM Microfinance customers were paid by the current NPP [ads1]government is a total lie.
“I wasn’t shocked when I heard the Finance Minister stood before the peoples Parliament of Ghana to lie to the people of Ghana about paying 90% of DKM, God is love, care for humanity and other fun clubs because even their vice President said his wife has warned him not to lie anymore.” – Efo Worlanyo said in a statement copied Awake News
According to him, it was during the NDC erra that appointed a liquidator whose work has led to the payment of over 80% DKM customers and not the NPP.
“We want to state clearly that, no payment was made by this government since they came into office. What the finance minister said in Parliament was a blatant lie and must apologize to the affected customers because all those Payments were made by the NDC government and payment plan made for other DKM affected customers which this government has refused to pay.” – Efo Worlanyo emphasised
He hinted of the Youth Wing of the NDC in the shortest possible time will come out with the full details on the matter.

FINANCE MINISTER LIED ABOUT DKM AND OTHER FINANCIAL MELTDOWN IN B/A
Lies have now become a constant prayer topic for the NPP.
I wasn’t shocked when I heard the Finance Minister stood before the peoples Parliament of Ghana to lie to the people of Ghana about paying 90% of DKM, God is love, care for humanity and other fun clubs because even their vice President said his wife has warned him not to lie anymore.
The facts:
1. In 2015/16, there was a spring up of several fun clubs in the Brong Ahafo, Northern, Volta, Western, Upper east and Upper West Regions.
2. Because fun clubs were not regulated by Bank of Ghana they couldn’t stop them from operating per the laws of the land but the public was cautioned by government about the operations of these mushroom fun clubs.
3. The current NPP officials like Major Derrick Oduro, the Deputy Defense Minister, Hon. Asomah Kyeremeh former Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Maxwel Mahama the Sunyani East Health Insurance manager, the Kintampo North DCE were among others the share holders, manager, spoke persons, lawyers, and other prominent leaders of the customers and the owners of the fun clubs.
4. When the fun clubs had challenges, Bank of Ghana stopped them from operating and government appointmented an independent liquidator to list all affected fun clubs, sell their assets and find ways to settle everyone who was affected.
5. The liquidator started work with DKM and others and started paying over 80% DKM customers and prepared the 20% for payment as well as collating information on other fun clubs like God is love, care for humanity, perfect Edge and others before we left office.
6. While all these were going on, Mahama and the NDC were blamed and then NPP flagbearer Nana Addo promised to pay all other fun clubs in full should he win because the NDC and MAHAMA are wickid.
7. After their win, the finance minister stood in Parliament and insulted the affected customers that their demand is not in the NPP manifesto.
We want to state clearly that, no payment was made by this government since they came into office. What the finance minister said in Parliament was a blatant lie and must apologize to the affected customers because all those Payments were made by the NDC government and payment plan made for other DKM affected customers which this government has refused to pay.
We also want to state that, this government shouldn’t make it look as if the affected fun club is only DKM. They fun clubs affected are over 87 but they always try to hide behind only DKM because that was what NDC started paying and made plans for to finish paying.
The NDC Youth Wing will in the coming days come out with the full details and facts about the of DKM and other 87 financial institutions and how the NPP master minded the formation of those fun clubs just to create hatred for the then NDC government to enable them win power in 2016.
