The Minority Leader in the 7th Parliament of Ghana, Haruna Iddrisu has said who the people’s representation in Parliament is not and cannot be determined by the Courts in Ghana.

According to him, the election of the people’s representation in parliament rests in the civil will of the people adding that the courts don’t participate in an election they only adjudicate.

The Tamale Central MP was responding to the preliminary raised by Afenyo Markin who wants to enquire from the Clerk of Parliament if a High Court orders restraining MP-elect for Assin North from being sworn into office.
