Audio circulating on social media reveals that two bailiffs of the Ho High Court assigned to deliver a letter of an injunction Mr. John Peter Amewu were beaten to the pulp.

Amewu who is at the center of the disputed Hohoe seat has been in a state of dilemma as some residents of the constituency secured a court injunction on Gazetting of the parliamentary results.

The audio in circulation alleged that upon delivery of the said court injunction to the Energy minister who contested the Hohoe seat on the ticket of the NPP, had his militias pounced on these messengers and whisked away to an unknown location.

Allegedly, one can conclude it is of public knowledge that these thugs who were recruited towards the 2020 elections have since been harassing people known to be sympathizers of the National Democratic Congress NDC in the constituency.

According to one of the victims in the audio who was narrating his ordeal with these militias, alledged they have been looking for Amewu for a number of days now following the Court injunction secured by the residents over the EC’s decision to exclude some parts of the Hohoe constituency from voting for a parliamentary candidate on every hour to the election.

It is alleged that Amewu has been, deliberately moving from one place to another ostensibly to avoid being served by the court messengers, but the bailiffs did their best and discovered his location yesterday 26th December 2020, and in their attempt to deliver the letter to him, the unthinkable happened.

The man in the audio noted that their belongings such as mobile phones, and money were all taken away from them. He again said they were taken to the Fodome bush where they were beaten mercilessly.

The messenger who is alleging this crime sad he is the only one of the bailiffs who has been able to find his way back home after he escaped. Stressing that his attempts to finding his counterpart after getting home proved futile.
