Scores of third year students at College to protest over the deduction

[dropcap]R[/dropcap]eports reaching Awake News indicates that there is an ongoing confusion between third-year students and management of the Dambai College of Education over an alleged decision by the authorities to deduct GH¢385.00 from their feeding grants.

Scores of the affected  students who are currently on teaching practice (attachment) have gathered at the college’s account office in protest of the management’s decision.

[ads1]According to some of the students who spoke to Awake News’ Korsi Senyo, the GH¢380.00 that the management wants to deduct from their two-semester’s feeding grant which has just been released was part of their 2017 bill (GH¢763.00) which they have already paid.

“We can’t just understand what is going on. That GH¢385.00 they want to deduct from the feeding grant was part of the 2017 February bill (GH¢763.00), which we have already cleared before we had access to our results”

The Vice Principal of the College, Ms. Veronica Kluyobor has declined to speak to Awake News and warns its reporter never to call her phone number again.

“Don’t call my number again. I will not speak to you. The phone is my private number and I said you should not call me again”
