Asiedu Nketiah’s Has No Interest In Mahama’s Victory – Anyidoho Alleges

Koku Anyidoho

Former presidential staffer and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Atta Mills Institute, Koku Anyidoho, opined that a recent statement by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah regarding the party’s reluctance to sign a peace declaration pact suggests a lack of interest in ensuring the flagbearer’s victory in the December 7 presidential election.

He believes that the chairman’s comments may harm the NDC’s public image.

“As for Asiedu-Nketiah, he is not interested in JM winning so he will continue to make statements that will make NDC look bad in the eyes of the public that’s why he has made that reckless statement to the effect that NDC will not sign any Peace Declaration pact,” he wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Mr. Nketiah, speaking on JoyNews on August 14, indicated that his party will not sign any peace declaration pact with stakeholders in the upcoming elections. He cited unresolved issues as the reason for taking this stance.

“Signing a peace declaration doesn’t mean anything to the party, as previous pacts have not yielded any real results,” he said, adding that “If you allow violence to brew, it will happen whether you sign a declaration or not.”
