A Political Science lecturer at the University of Ghana, Prof. Ransford Gyampo, has asked the opposition New Patriotic Party to wake up from their humiliating defeat at the December 2024 polls and concentrate on how to bounce back and not how President John Mahama is building the new Hajj Village in less than two months in government.

The newly appointed CEO of the Ghana Shippers Authority in a facebook post said:

So who sunk in money to commence the construction of a Hajj Village? Is it sensible to argue that this was done by a government that is less than 2 months old? Smart and sober reflection on how to bounce back is what is needed!

Ever since it has been announced that President John Mahama will be cutting sod for the construction of the new Hajj Village, the NPP who have been in government for 8years before leaving office on January 7, 2025 have been on the roof touting the project as that of former President Akufo-Addo.

Kweku Asiamah with Ghana Airport Company Limited and the Hajj Board as the implementing bodies.
Stay tuned for more… – NPP MP Alhassan S. Tampuli wrote on his facebook page.
