Libyan centre referee Ahmed Abdulrazg will be the man in charge of the Ghana vs Central Africa Republic game at the Baba Yara Stadium next month. The fourth and fifth-placed teams in Group I will seek to get their campaigns back on track having dropped valuable points in the opening two matches.
Ahmed Abdulrazg will be assisted by compatriots, Mohammed Basim on Line 1, Al Jahawe Wahed on Line 2 and Huraywidah Abdulwahid as the Fourth official.
The four Libyans will be supported by a fellow North African, Hadqa Yahya from Morocco with Sierra Leone’s Holland-Cole Kasho Joseph handling the Match Commissioner duties.
Ghana vs Central Africa Republic will be played in Kumasi on June 10. While Ghana won its opening match against Madagascar before suffering a defeat away to Comoros, Central Africa Republic started badly with a defeat to Comoros. They, however, regrouped to draw with Mali who currently occupy second with 4 points. Madagascar after winning their second match against Chad is third with 3 points, the same as Ghana but on superior goals. Chad remains the only team in the group yet to earn a point.
But before Ghana welcomes the Central Africa Republic, it must navigate its ways against Mali in Bamako on June 6. The Central Africa Republic meanwhile, has Chad to deal with at home a day earlier.
