[dropcap]C[/dropcap]ommunications Director of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Solomon Nkansah is accusing the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, of having direct links with Aisha Huang, the Chinese lady who is noted for illegal mining (galamsey) activities in the country.

According to him, Chairman Wontumi as he is popularly known together with his party is fully aware of the activities of the ‘galamsey queen’ and thus responsible for her stay in the country.

[ads1]Mr Nkansah noted that the embattled Chinese migrant involved in illegal mining was for a long while never caught in her illegal dealings until now because of her close connections with the governing NPP.

“NPP brought that galamsey queen Aisha into Ghana. In fact, the Ashanti Regional chairman Wontumi travelled all the way to China to bring her to Ghana in 2004. I’m not saying Aisha is NPP but she is a shroud and that is why they never arrested her till now” he said.

Solomon Nkansah was speaking on Adom FM’s Morning Show “Dwaso Nsem” Thursday.

A criminal High Court in Accra Tuesday remanded into Prison custody the 31-year-old Chinese woman suspected to be one of Ghana’s most notorious illegal miners and her three other Chinese colleagues.

She was nabbed by the Ghana Immigration Service this week after she made the headlines for allegedly escaping several arrests in her illegal operations in mining.

Ms. Huang, according to Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, the managing editor of the New Crusading Guide had become untouchable because she holds secret recordings of sexual escapades she had with some influential figures in the country.

However the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the NPP, Sam Pyne denied the claims by Solomon Nkansah saying the party, as well as the Regional Chairman, has no links with the galamsey queen.
