Mr. Bernard Joachem Potakey, a young and visionary leader based at Nkwanta wants to be the next Deputy Volta Regional Youth Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
I have come to know Bernard in August 2016 when I was about premiering my first two produced movies at Odumase Krobo. Since then, we have been brothers.
[ads1]I know Bernard as selfless, visionary, result oriented and proactive person who wants to get things done no matter what it costs his personal resources or time so long as it will benefit the masses.
What I know about Mr. Potakey’s efforts in supporting education in the rural north of Ghana:
About a month ago, Bernard has secured a professionally developed website (http://nkwanstech.org/) for Nkwanta Community Senior High Technical School at no single cost to the school.
Mr. Potakey has over the years making efforts to support education in the rural north of the Volta Region. In June 2017, he donated three (3) avenue seats “lovers bench” to the school the in the Volta Region.
In 2016, he organized about 50 students and 10 teachers of the same school to a top hotel in town – Gateway Hotel where the students were taken through how to use the cutlery sets and some Health tips from personnel of the district health directorate.
During his national services at Krachi Senior High School in 2010, the young philanthropic teachers personally assisted the school in getting 20 brand new computers, UPS, 2 split air conditioners, printer, scanner and an LCD projector for the school the form donation from GIFEC.
He is said to have also assisted Dambai College of Education to establish a relationship with the Ghana India Kofi Annan Center of Excellence in ICT, the current ultra modern signpost at the entrance of the college was a gift from Microsoft Ghana which he lobbied for among other social intervention programs.
As a fellow young man, I’m with the strong conviction that we need people like Bernard in the leadership position in our great country.
