Former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has been warned by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) that if he does not show up for interrogation on Monday, June 2, 2025, he will be listed as a wanted individual once more.

This is in reaction to a complaint that Mr. Ofori-Atta brought against Kissi Agyebeng, the chief of the OSP, alleging that they illegally declared him wanted.

The OSP, in a statement, clarified that Mr. Ofori-Atta had personally requested to be removed from its wanted list, assuring authorities that he would present himself for questioning on a set date.

Acting in good faith, the OSP temporarily removed his name but has now stressed that any failure to comply will result in his immediate reinstatement as a fugitive.

In such an event, the OSP has warned that it will issue an Interpol Red Notice for his arrest and initiate extradition proceedings in any jurisdiction where he may be found.

The Special Prosecutor reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring accountability, stating that Mr. Ofori-Atta remains the prime suspect in five ongoing corruption and corruption-related investigations.
