Duncan-Williams said Ghanaians are peaceful but would react when their anger hits an uncontrollable peak.

He made this statement in Accra during an interaction between former President and flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama and the Christian Ecumenical Council as part of his “Building Ghana We Want” tour.

“Don’t deceive yourself that Ghanaians are peaceful, no-trouble people. Angry people are dangerous and when their anger gets to a certain level they are dangerous to manage”, Archbishop Duncan-Williams cautioned.

Duncan-Williams also commented on the brain drain situation in the country and hoped that the predicament would be addressed.

“In this country, our doctors are leaving. We hope that we will also not become refugees,” he said.

Archbishop Duncan-Williams said the Christian community would do its best to ensure the right thing is done. His comment followed an appeal by former President John Mahama to the community to speak against the ills of society.

Former President John Mahama highlighted some of his vision and policies to the clergy stating that NDC’s next administration will partner with the Church to manage some institutions such as schools and hospitals.

“We will work together with you to create a meaningful and Prosperous life for our congregation and our people,” he pledged.

To ensure the efficient use of resources, John Mahama said where there are mission institutions, the state will not establish rival institutions. He said he would prioritize investment in existing institutions to building new ones.

“Where we have mission schools or hospitals, we will not establish a rival institution. We will rather invest into the existing institutions,” Mr. Mahama emphasized.
