It looks though, the seeming impasse between the District Chief Executive and some members of the ruling New Patriotic Party of the Akatsi North Constituency would not end anytime soon.

Months ago, Awake News published an intercepted petition by some executives of the Akatsi North NPP to the Flagstaff House, that sought the removal of the DCE, Hon. Dr. Prince Sodoke Amuzu on a number of stated misconducts and lack of readiness of the DCE to work with the executives in the constituency.

Though the executives in a number of radio interviews denied any knowledge of the said petition, the issue has been brought to public attention again, when party folks were spotted wielding placards with the inscription ‘We want our DCE sacked, Akatsi North’ prior to the arrival of the President in Tadzewu on Monday.

Awakenews learned that it took the intervention of the security to put these persons to order before the president arrived.

Speaking to Abdul-Iddrisu Faisel, Mr. Salansa Doe, the constituency chairman confirmed the incident and added that, there are issues the party would have to seat and address. According to him, the party hierarchy is well informed and he is very sure steps will be taken to bring back that unity within the party in the constituency.

“I can confirm to you that indeed something like that happened at Tadzewu yesterday. I went there a bit late but we resolved it. One thing that remains true is the fact that there are issues that need to be addressed and the party hierarchy is very much aware.”

Mr. Salansa Doe added that the DCE is ready and the purported faction is equally ready to seat and address issues.
