The Minority leader and Member of Parliament for Tamale South Hon Haruna Idrisu has expressed worry about the Electoral Commission’s inability to transmit elections results via the fax system and rather resort to email address.
The victorious MP for Tamale South sent a warning to the EC to stick to the Electoral laws in transmission of results and asked the Electoral commission to abstain from the tendencies of trying to do the bidding of the NPP in order to favor the presidential candidate of the NPP.
Mr Iddrisu was speaking to the media in Tamale after being declared the MP elect for the Tamale South.
He also alleged that there was an irregular incident that happened in the Savelugu Nantom where it appeared the Electoral one officer tried to add a figure to the presidential results of the NPP candidate.
He advised the EC to call the officer to order by ordering for his immediate arrest.The minority leader asked the Electoral commission not make the mistake of the US elections where the sitting president refused to accept and concede defeat.
Meanwhile, both NDC and NPP have all been claiming victory ahead of the official declaration from the EC.
