We act on Speaker’s orders not what’s on the News, so we are still majority – NDC

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) reiterated in a Press conference that the House of Parliament is guided by the speaker’s orders; hence, the NDC is still the Majority caucus after Speaker Bagbin’s ruling on October 17, 2024.

Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga, explained that the NDC will protect what is lawfully theirs on Tuesday on the floor of parliament despite the Supreme Court’s injunction to speaker Alban Sumanah Bagbin ruling for a stay of execution.

Ayariga added that until the speaker declares otherwise, the NDC remains the majority and will use its numbers to scrap some of the obnoxious taxes, including the E-Levy and betting tax.
