The items are 3k Mattresses, 1k rice bags, 2k pieces canned fish, 2k pieces canned tomatoes, 2k liters of cooking oil, TV3’s Roland Walker who is in Keta reported on Saturday, November 13.

During the visit, he asked the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) and other state agencies to increase commitment towards relief provision for victims of the disaster.

Mr Mahama was accompanied by some NDC National Executives and Members of Volta Causes in Parliament.

Last week, a tidal wave caused havoc in that part of the country. At the time that the disaster has rendered over 4000 people homeless, the country President Akufo Addo has announced seven days leave and left the country for France. This kept many wondering they the President will abandon his people in times of disaster.
