Villarreal is hoping to sign Argentine defender Juan Foyth from Tottenham this summer.
The contract will be a permanent deal and for less than the option fee of £13m. The Tottenham defender is enjoying a fine run of form for Villarreal on loan.
Juan Foyth joined the La Liga side ahead of this season on a season-long loan, linking up with former Arsenal manager Unai Emery in Castellon. However, the club is now in talks with Tottenham to make his deal a permanent one.
