Ghana’s Former Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Victor Smith, has chosen former Finance Minister, Professor Kwesi Botchwey, as John Dramani Mahama’s running mate for Election 2020.

Prof Kwesi Botchwey is bold and can transform the country’s economy with his experience. He said.

In an interaction on Neat FM, on ‘Me Man Nti’ show, he said, “He is a solid and brave individual and this country needs that type of personality to manage the country, so I prefer Professor Kwesi Botchwey to partner Mahama . . . he can turn around the fortunes of this nation; I know what he has done before, he’s an ogboro in the business of managing the economy,’’.

He concluded by saying that, aside from Professor Botchwey’s braveness, he is also an outstanding person who can cooperate as the running mate for Mahama.

Professor Kwesi Botchwey is a Ghanaian former government official and professor of practice in Development Economics at the fletcher school of law and diplomacy of tufts university.

Dr. Botcthwey was Ghana’s minister of finance from 1982 to 1995.
