Vice President of Ghana, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has made her first public statement following her recent medical care at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).
The Vice President was reportedly hospitalized on Saturday, March 29, after experiencing health concerns the previous Friday, March 28.
In her statement, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang took the opportunity to reach out to the nation, particularly Ghana’s Muslim community, offering warm Eid Mubarak greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
She acknowledged the significant contributions of Muslims to the development of the nation and expressed her gratitude for the support she has received during her health challenge.

“Likewise, I would like to say thank you to everyone for the kind sentiments and well wishes this weekend,” she added.
