A Wa-based teacher in the Upper West Region, Mr. Mohammed Yussif was on July 24, 2020 subjected to a humiliating situation by some group of men who had accused him of chasing the wife of one of them.

The men numbering about six, after beating and stripping Mr. Yussif forced him to give out his MTN Mobile Money PIN where they allegedly transferred an amount of GHc1480.00 from his mobile money account.
“After they stripped me naked and beat me up, they carried my motorbike in the bucket of their pickup vehicle, upon reaching where to dumped me, they told me my motorbike had damaged their car and that I must pay for it. They took my phone from me and forced me to mention my MoMo PIN. They then transferred an amount of GHc1,480.00 from my account after which they deleted the messages. Fortunately, I went to MTN office the following 3days where I was assisted to download the MTN MoMo app which helped to me get the record of the transactions” – Mohammed Yussif told Awake News’ Efo Korsi Senyo
Awake News’ effort to get a response from Mr. Osman Naseem and Mr. Hakeem Nuri Haq were both cuts short with excuses. A teacher is supposed to be intelligent enough to see way ahead of this trap. How could attend the invitation of a woman at a Guest house alone if your intention was not devilish ? It serves him and others in this wrong business of flirting with people’ wives right. I think the police should deal with perpetrators for taking the law into their hands and imposing their will on them.
Well said. He could have seen this trap coming…..
Like you rightly said, the police must deal with this and bring justice to the teacher
