Two drivers died Tuesday night after their vehicles collided on the Kpone stretch, along the Tema-Aflao highway.
The incident happened at about 8.40pm and according to eyewitnesses, a speeding driver of a Toyota Highlander with registration number GW 2733-18, lost control of the steering wheel and ran under an oncoming water tanker with registration GT 8454-11.
The water tanker dragged the Toyota Highlander to about 150 meters, badly mangling the car.
A documents in the Toyota Highlander bore the name of Fred Boakye, a Manager of Sraha Insurance Company, and the eyewitnesses said they could not identify the deceased, which was mutilated.
According to the eyewitnesses, personnel from the Kpone District Police and Tema Industrial Area Fire station arrived at the scene to clear the debris to open the stretch for traffic and conveyed the bodies of the dead to the Tema General Hospital morgue.
