The Head of Health, Safety, Security, And Environment at the Ministry of Energy in Accra, Mr. Kwesi Twum Addo has reportedly died from the coronavirus.

His death from Covid-19 comes days after National Security Coordinator Joshua Kyeremeh, a lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, Nana Banyi Pratt passed on from Covid with complications as a trigger. Ghana International School, Ashesi University and Fidelity Bank have both lost members of staff to the pandemic.

The Ghana Health Service has warned that the new viral outbreak is 80 times more deadly than the first one that occurred in 2020 and urged the public to abide by Covid-19 protocols.
