Thomas Tuchel is appointed England manager after Gareth Southgate, his appointment is effective January 1, 2025.
Interim manager Lee Carsley, will remain in charge till the 51-year-old German takes post.
Thomas Tuchel, said: “I am very proud to have been given the honour of leading the England team.
Anthony Barry will be the assistant to the fomer Bayern Munich coach.
“I have long felt a personal connection to the game in this country, and it has given me some incredible moments already.
“To have the chance to represent England is a huge privilege, and the opportunity to work with this special and talented group of players is very exciting.”
Chief executive Officer of England Football Association, Mark Bullingham said they have appointed “one of the best coaches in the world”.
Tuchel signed the contract on October, 8 after he was picked from the list of interviewees.
A statement from the FA noted that, “The announcement was delayed to minimize distraction around the international camp that has just concluded.”
