The Second Lady, Mrs. Samira Bawumia, has emphasized that coming December 7 general election is pivotal for the country’s future and progress, and it is crucial to elect a candidate with a proven track record.
She highlighted that her husband Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, has demonstrated his ability to drive the development Ghana needs. Mrs. Bawumia urged voters to support him decisively in the upcoming elections.
She made these remarks while addressing the chiefs and residents of Bia East Constituency at Camp 15 Junction, during her campaign tour of the Western North Region.
Samira Bawumia stated that: “The NPP elected my husband to lead the party because he has what it takes to bring accelerated development and continue the good policies of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.”
She praised the recently launched DRIP project by the President, noting that it would significantly improve roads across the country, including those in Bia East.
Mrs. Bawumia highlighted the benefits of the government’s initiatives, such as the Free Senior High School program and other flagship projects, which she said have positively impacted nearly every household in Ghana. She urged voters to keep the NPP in power to continue the country’s growth and development.
The Second Lady also encouraged the people of Bia East to support Mr. Nicholas Yayin Niper, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate, to secure further development in the area.
Mr. Niper, who is also the District Chief Executive for Bia East, appealed to voters to support Dr. Bawumia as President while also electing him as MP for the Bia East constituency.
Mr. Benjamin Armah, NPP Western North Regional Chairman, called on party members to unite to achieve victory in both the Presidential and parliamentary elections.
