One of the released Montie three, Alistair Nelson, has indicated that the former chief of staff is still the best candidate for the opposition National Democratic Congress’s running mate post, which could allow former President Mahama and the party to win a one-touch victory in 2024.

Prof. Mills, he claims, taught the former Minister of Local Government and Rural Development and Regional Minister for the Eastern Region how to advance to the position from which he is now resigning.

Commenting on photograph taken which include the late former chief of staff with President Mills, Mr. Nelson said:

this picture also depicts the continuity of the apprenticeship grooming to lead the pack one day and no man born of a woman can escape the burden of responsibility upon that day

In a picture that has the former president Mahama and the former chief of staff captured eating the popular gobe in an enclosed area, Mr. Alistair Nelson added that:

This close association is further to seal the apprenticeship and for him to appreciate the responsibility that lies ahead…in the picture he is being fed with spiritual gobe to build him up for the task ahead..the day is coming Chief Julius Debrah must rise to the occasion upon that day.
