The Emmanuel Ivorgba Foundation, in partnership with African Youth Union Commission (AYUC) has launched “The Africa We Want Essay Campaign” to support, promote and encourage young people’s participation in Agenda 2063- the blueprint and master plan for the transformation of Africa into the global powerhouse of the future.
The Campaign runs from August 31, 2019- December 31, 2019, and welcomes entries from students of African Origin currently studying in African Universities.
The Campaign focuses on “The Role of Young People towards the actualization of Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want”. A Panel of Experts will select the top three (3) entries by January 31, 2020. The Winners will then receive $500 (First), $300 (second), $200 (third), respectively, as well as Certificates, Plaques and branded T-Shirts.
The Competition welcomes entries from students of African origin currently studying at any level in any University, Polytechincs, Tertiary or Post-Secondary Institutions based in Africa. Participants must be between 18-35 years old. Entries must be limited to 5000 words only, and not more. The Entries must bear participant’s full names, Date of Birth, email, phone number, name and location of University, Course of Study and Department. All entries/submissions must be original. Plagiarized entries will be identified and such participants disqualified. The closing date for submission of all entries is December 31, 2019 by 4:00pm. Any entries submitted after the above date and time will be rejected and not entertained.
Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want is Africa’s strategic framework that seeks to deliver on its goal for inclusive and sustainable development and is a concrete manifestation of the pan-Africa drive for unity, self-determination, freedom, progress and collective prosperity pursued under Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance. Agenda 2063 clearly demonstrates the commitment of African People to the Pan African Vision of “An integrated, prosperous and peaceful Africa, driven by its own citizens, representing a dynamic force in the international arena”.
