Yesterday, Saturday, October 20th was no different. The streets of Agotime Kpetoe were flooded by both natives and visitors from far and near. The streets were decorated with nothing but the colourful Agotime Kente cloths with different designs, amidst drumming and dancing.

The whole Kpetoe township became a trade fair center where one could find all kinds of artifacts and handicrafts ranging from the Kente cloths, batakari (smock), bracelets and other traditional beeds. Tourist did not only travel to Kpetoe to catch a glimpse of the Agbamevorza but also took the opportunity to do business.

In a speech delivered on behalf of the overlord of the Agotime Traditional Area, Nene Nuer Keteku III (Konor), on the theme for this year festival, “Attitudinal change the panacea for future development”, the Paramount chief implored the youths to avail themselves to supporting development efforts of the area.

“The youths need to share a catalogue of indifference to development issues and as due responsible citizens and observe criticality with an objective view”.

“Communities that have developed at a faster pace, did so through the energy of the youths. I, therefore, implore all the youths not to lose hope because of our parent challenges”
