As the 2025 budget presentation draws near, the acting Managing Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC), Sammy Gyamfi, has assured Ghanaians that the new budget will not impose harsh or excessive taxes, signaling a shift from the previous administration’s policies. Ahead of the upcoming budget announcement by Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, Gyamfi emphasized that the budget is crafted to bring relief to citizens, focusing on economic growth, job creation, and reducing the hardships faced by many Ghanaians.

Gyamfi highlighted that the 2025 budget is one of hope, aiming to alleviate burdens rather than impose new challenges on the population. “Unlike the previous government, which saw job losses and economic stagnation, this budget will focus on creating opportunities and fostering economic development,” he explained.

Reassuring the public, Gyamfi advised against speculation, promising that the specifics of the budget would soon be revealed. He confidently stated that the contrasts between the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) would be evident when the budget is presented, reflecting the NDC’s commitment to fulfilling its promises to the people.

He also underscored the budget’s focus on empowering the youth, highlighting its potential to create opportunities for young Ghanaians to achieve their ambitions, irrespective of their political background.

“This is the kind of budget I’m eager to see—one that empowers the youth, stimulates business growth, and creates opportunities for all Ghanaians,” Gyamfi remarked.
