The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has inaugurated a pioneering application portal, marking a significant milestone in the implementation of Ghana’s visionary No-Fees-Stress policy.
This innovative initiative is designed to alleviate the financial burden on tertiary education students, fostering an environment conducive to academic excellence and socio-economic growth.
The No-Fees-Stress portal is accessible now and offers a streamlined registration process. It enables students to effortlessly provide their information and allows the SLTF to efficiently authenticate their eligibility for government support.
According to the SLTF, the No-Fee-Stress policy is “a transformative, bold, and visionary initiative designed to mitigate the financial barriers that hinder Ghanaian students from accessing tertiary education.”
This policy represents a strategic investment in the nation’s human capital development and future competitiveness, underscoring the government’s commitment to fostering an environment where students can pursue their academic aspirations without undue financial strain.
Dr. Saajida Shiraz, CEO of the SLTF, emphasized the organization’s dedication to the successful rollout and implementation of this policy.
“The Students Loan Trust Fund, in tune with its mandate to provide financial resources for the benefit of students of accredited tertiary institutions, is committed to the successful rollout and implementation of this policy,” she stated.
Undoubtedly, by providing financial support to students, the government aims to catalyze Ghana’s quest for accessible and inclusive higher education, ultimately driving national development and empowering the next generation of leaders.
The SLTF’s innovative portal is a testament to the government’s commitment to harnessing technology to improve the lives of its citizens and promote socio-economic growth.
