A shocking incident in Kwesimintsim, a suburb of Takoradi in Ghana’s Western Region, has left the local community in disbelief after a 60-year-old man was discovered with his genitals severed inside his girlfriend’s home during the Easter holidays.
The victim, identified as Samuel Sam, was reportedly spending the long Easter weekend with his lover, a younger woman named Stella, at her family residence.
Sources familiar with the situation describe Stella as his “side chick,” suggesting that the relationship was extramarital or informal.
According to local accounts, the two had been sleeping outside due to the intense heat but decided to move indoors as night fell.
Moments after Samuel entered the room, Stella followed, and shortly after, screams were heard from inside.
Neighbours who rushed to the scene were met with a disturbing sight—Samuel lying unconscious and naked in a pool of blood.
His penis had been completely severed.
A blood-stained bread knife was reportedly found at the scene, believed to be the weapon used in the attack.
