The former National Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Comrade Joshua Hamidu Akamba, has urged Ghanaians to use the Independence Day celebration scheduled for Monday, the 6th of March, in Adaklu in the Volta Region as a time of sober reflection and also to thank God for surmounting the economic mess created so far by the poor leadership of Nana Addo Danqua’s NPP government.

In his goodwill message ahead of the nation’s 66th independence anniversary, the fearless former National Organizer complained about Ghana’s challenges, adding that NDC delegates should give former President Mahama a massive endorsement come May 13th.

According to him, Ghana’s founding fathers could never have fathomed that 66 years after independence, Ghana would be facing a situation where there is high inflation, fuel prices, and a High unemployment rate.

Going further, Akamba also urged Ghanaians to take democratic action to ensure that the ideals of Ghana’s founding fathers are not set aside on the altar of tyranny under the leadership of President Nana Addo.
