[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Ghana Bar Association is calling on the Inspector General of Police and the Attorney General Department to swiftly investigate and prosecute perpetrators of violent crimes in recent times.
The Association says the intolerance and extremism recorded after the 2016 general elections by some members of the public and political party vigilante groups is gradually affecting inter and intra political parties activities in the country.
The GBA has also expressed worry over the recent attack on a Circuit [ads1]Court judge by a New Patriotic Party affiliated vigilante group, Delta Force and robbery attacks at residences of some judges in Kumasi.
Speaking at the 35th Martyrs Day and Memorial Service at the the Ramseyer Presbyterian Church in Kumasi, Ashanti Regional Vice President of the GBA, Anthony Mmie says the police and the Attorney General must ensure all perpetrators of such crimes are brought to book.
The Day is commemorated to honour three high Court judges and a retired army officer who were brutally and savagely murdered in abduction.
