The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has cautioned against internal rivalries, urging them to prioritize President John Mahama’s success.
In a candid interview on Accra FM, Asiedu Nketia warned that speculative surveys and internal polls could fracture the party’s unity, breeding suspicion and corruption.
He emphasized that anyone seeking to lead the party must be committed to Mahama’s triumph, rather than pursuing personal ambitions.
Asiedu Nketia also reflected on past leadership speculations, criticizing media pundits for their “village lotto forecasting” and premature predictions about potential presidential candidates.
He credited his intervention for halting these discussions, allowing the party to focus on rebuilding its structures.
Regarding a recent survey by Global Info Analytics, Asiedu Nketia acknowledged its role but cautioned against its timing and potential impact on party unity.
