A third-year student, Worwui Evans D.O., died at the Ketu North Municipal Hospital in the Volta Region after allegedly being denied permission to seek medical attention by a teacher, Simon Amedegbe.

The circumstances surrounding the student’s death have raised serious concerns about the teacher’s behavior and the school’s responsibility to ensure students’ safety and well-being.

According to eyewitnesses, Worwui Evans, complained of severe stomach pains around 9:00 pm the previous night after eating.

Despite his pleas for permission to seek medical attention, Mr. Amedegbe allegedly refused, citing that he was busy eating.

This shocking revelation has sparked widespread anger and demonstrations among the student body, with many calling for the teacher’s immediate dismissal and prosecution.

Fellow students who spoke to Fafaa Radio confirmed that Mr. Amedegbe’s refusal to grant permission was not an isolated incident.

The students alleged that this behavior was a regular occurrence, with the teacher often prioritizing his own interests over the needs and well-being of his students.

This disturbing pattern of behavior has raised serious questions about the school’s leadership and the teacher’s fitness to educate and care for students.

The next morning, Worwui Evans D.O.’s condition deteriorated, and he was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The news sparked chaos and outrage among the student body, with many demanding justice for their deceased colleague.

Meanwhile, the Police have intervened to restore order.

The circumstances surrounding Worwui Evans D.O.’s death are currently under investigation, with authorities working to determine the facts and circumstances that led to this tragic event.

The school administration and local authorities have pledged to take necessary actions to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
