The Lower Manya Krobo National Democratic Congress (NDC) has cautioned the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) within the Constituency to stop claiming ownership of development projects that were executed by the John Mahama government.
Executives of the NDC in the Constituency have expressed their displeasure over what they described as discrediting of the achievements of the previous government and the falsehood on the party of their rivals that the projects were engineered by the current Municipal Chief Executive Officer, Simon Kwaku Tetteh.
According to them, it is unacceptable for the NPP to deceive Ghanaians that projects that were awaiting commissioning and others at the various levels of completion before the exit of the NDC government in 2017 were embarked on by the Akufo-Addo administration through the MCE.
Addressing the media at the maiden edition of ‘Lower Manya Krobo NDC Moment of Truth’ the executives insisted, “We find claims by the NPP that projects that were executed by the NDC government and were awaiting commissioning and others at the various levels of completion without acknowledging the efforts of the past government led by former Prez. John Dramani Mahama, deceitful and false.”
Some of the claim projects by NPP administration are as follows:
They said, the Agormanya Islamic School, Yokwenor Primary School, Odumase Anglican School, Odumase Police Station, Bore Holes, electrification and Nursing Training School block at Odumase are some of the achievements of the NDC which are being claimed by the NPP.
They added that the NDC government extended electricity to Yogagasi, Kojonya, Okwenya, Yogaga Mountain and other communities in the middle belt areas were ongoing before they lose power in 2016.
The executives stressed that some projects were fully funded and executed by an NGO, PENCIL OF PROMISE under the stewardship of Ebenezer Terlabi, Member of Parliament for the area.
These projects include the Primary School block at Katem and Oborpah.
They further stressed that it is false that the School under trees program at Ayimesu Piengua, Yeder, Obelemanya, Wawase, Tsledorm, Apla Abobeng, Ayimesu Ako, Yokuyim, Kpone Islamic, Akuse Islamic, Agormanya Islamic, St. Paul Atua, Odumase Anglican, Agormanya Methodist School, Kpongunor Presby School, Nuaso Anglican, among others were done by the NPP.
“Under the School Projects in Secondary Schools, the NDC government constructed Akrosectec two steps dormitory block and additional two 12 unit classroom block, Krobo Girls Assembly Hall Complex and three other storey dormitory and classroom blocks, Makrosec two-storey block, Akuse Methodist Senior High three storey dormitory and classroom block. All these fully furnished and equipped for learning and with beds for Students,” they stressed.
“These are the Lower Manya Krobo NDC moment of Truth first edition of exposing the deceit and fail of the NPP within the Constituency. Until the lion gets their own historian, the hunter will always tell the story to sweet his side,” they vowed.
The executives reiterated that the achievement of the NDC in Lower Manya Krobo remain unprecedented and vowed to release another litany of more achievement.
They further advised the MCE to stop telling lies to people and be honest to himself as desperation will not save NPP in2020.
