[dropcap]T[/dropcap]wo Ghanaian dancehall musicians, Stonebwoy and AK Songstress have been nominated for a U.S. Entertainment awards known as ‘Linkage Awards’. They have been nominated for the ‘Best African Dancehall of the year’ category.
Stonebwoy’s nomination comes a way to complement his marriage as it will be said that being married has brought him some lucks already.
[ads1]AK Songstress on the other hand will hold a bragging as the only female dancehall artist from Africa to be nominated for this prestigious award.
The ‘Linkage Awards’ is being organized by Linkage Prodtouctions Co. for the purpose of recognizing individuals in the music and radio industry for their contribution to music as well as their accomplishments in music.
The organizers according to information on their official website will present awards to winners on main stage unlike some awards that do backstage presentations.
Stonebwoy and AK Songress will face stiff competition from other African dancehall artistes like; Bobi Wine (Uganda), A2 (Gambia), Gupsy Warriors (Zimbabwe) and Frankie Dee (Kenya).
The date for the main awards ceremony will be announced later by the organizers – Linkage Productions Co.
Meanwhile voting has been open for all nominees and the rule reads ‘1vote person every 5 days’
