Soldiers don’t run from the battle field, they fight on – Efo Worlanyo react to Ablakwa’s resignation

Efo Worlanyo and Ablakwa

“We can’t all be on the battlefield that is why we have selected soldiers whose duty is to defend us anytime we are attacked.” – these are some of the words of the Bono Regional Youth Organizer of the NDC, Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo.

In a Facebook post sighted by Awake News, in the wake of the resignation of the North Tongu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa from the Parliament Appointment Committee. Though Mr. Tsekpo did not mention the name of the MP in his post, it was, however, clear his comments were directed at the decision of the former deputy education minister.

According to the outspoken youth leaders, “Their [MPs] continuous fight gives us protection but if in the name of being overpowered by their enemies, they run from the battle find, obviously, we won’t feel safe.”

For him “As a committed Soldier, you don’t surrender when the battle is tough; You fight on!”

Sighting his definition of a ‘committed Soldier’, he said “Domelevo did not run away when corruption was fighting back at him, he fought till he was sacked by the corrupt captain. On the other hand, we saw how Amidu quickly run through the window – a decision we all agree to be an act of cowardness.”

The leadership of the NDC in Parliament has been in turmoil following the approval of some of President Akufo-Addo’s appointees which the larger members of the NDC and Ghanaians believe should never be passed to hold such a position again.

Following the “an acceptable approvals” National Communication Officer of the Party, Sammy Gyamfi openly attacked the integrity of the leadership of the NDC MPs and the Speaker of Parliament saying they have betrayed the NDC.

SOLDIERS DON’T RUN FROM THE BATTLEFIELD, THEY FIGHT!

We can’t all be on the battlefield that is why we have selected soldiers whose duty is to defend us anytime we are attacked.

Their continuous fight give us protection but if in the name of being overpowered by their enemies, they run from the battle find, obviously, we won’t feel safe.

As a committed Soldier, you don’t surrender when the battle is tough; You fight on!

Domelevo did not run away when corruption was fighting back at him, he fought till he was sacked by the corrupt captain. On the other hand, we saw how Amidu quickly run through the window – a decision we all agree to be an act of cowardness.

Remember, as a soldier, you don’t run from the battle but you fight and fight till you win because the safety of the helpless ones are in your hands.
