Smirnoff launches “In the Mix” to spotlight Ghana’s DJ culture

Smirnoff is turning up the volume on Ghana’s music scene with the launch of “Smirnoff in the Mix”.

This new DJ-led party series celebrates connection, creativity, and unforgettable experiences.

The campaign builds on Smirnoff’s ongoing support for DJs, known through its backing of the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards.

However, In the Mix offers something different. It creates a stripped-down house party atmosphere where fans connect directly with DJs in intimate, high-energy settings.

Each event will feature handpicked DJs, loyal fans, influencers, and a secret venue. Guests will only find out the location once they’re confirmed. This approach adds excitement and exclusivity.

Yaa Amoah-Owusu, Marketing Manager for Spirits and RTDs at Guinness Ghana, emphasized the focus on talent.

“Smirnoff in the Mix is a bold celebration of the creative minds behind the decks,” she said. She believes this initiative gives DJs the spotlight they deserve.

Moreover, fans can expect “mystery drops,” social media challenges, and surprise invitations to make every event dynamic and unpredictable.

Anna Agostinelli, Brand Manager at Guinness Ghana, highlighted the campaign’s spirit.

“It’s always about the people, the DJs, the fans, and the shared energy that only music can bring,” she explained. Smirnoff wants to spark creativity and strengthen community through this experience.

The series officially launches on May 2. With flavors like Guarana, Pineapple Punch, and Double Black, Smirnoff Ice will be part of every mix.
