Shut up: “there are no natural owners of Ghana” – IMANI Boss fumes

Mr. Franklin Cudjoe, the Founding President of policy think tank, IMANI Africa has vented his venom on critics who are of the view that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have the moral justification to criticize the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) mishaps in the country.

Mr. Cudjo’s own colleague, Mr. Kofi Bentel, Vice President of IMANI said in a Facebook post sighted by Awake News said “……NDC there are times when silence is better, don’t court attention at all, you caused the mess. NPP is just failing to solve it”

But in a social media post sighted by Awake News, Mr. Cudjo in said “I wonder why some say the NDC shouldn’t complain about what they believe was sold to Ghanaians to oust them from power but seems aggravated now.”

“Isn’t the best riposte to the NDC just delivering on promises and making less avoidable mistakes?” – Mr. Cudjo quizzed

“Better to show that we have moved from nepotic, collusive and corrupt practices we accused the NDC for and replaced them with pragmatism, meritocracy and reduced size of government?” – he added

For Mr. Cudjo, “There are no natural owners of the country. None is sacred. And we all pay taxes which feed those in government.”

He is of the view that it is time for Ghana have a third political force as an alternative and more bargaining power for a better governance in the country as the two major political parties, NDC and NPP appear to fall the people.

“Heck,! Looks like it is time to start a third movement away from these perennial underachievers in NDC and NPP. I have seen all of them and just koliko things. Third movement! Any takers?” – He said

Ghahains are currently complaining over hardship, corruption and constant rise in fuel prices and the introduction of new taxes. The most recent is the rise in the cost of sachet water “pure water” from 20p to 30p.

These are saying was not what the NPP promised them before coming to power and that the NPP promised them reduced fuel prices, taxes and lower cost of living.
