The law professor and the Founding Dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Cape Coast was on January 21, 1999 “found guilty of professional misconduct for sexually harassing a client” by the Law Society of Ontario in Canada.

He was then “suspended for a period of 18 months, commencing at the conclusion of the current administrative suspension”

According to the records of the Law Society of Ontario sighted by Awake News,

Philip Ebow Bondzi-Simpson was found guilty of professional misconduct for sexually harassing a client, E.F., by making inappropriate sexual advances towards her, by inappropriately touching her and by making attemps to discuss inappropriate sexual matters with her. By Order dated January 21, 1999, Convocation ordered that the Member be Suspended for a period of 18 months, commencing at the conclusion of the current administrative suspension.

This revelation has left some Ghanaian’s asking if “the same man [Prof. Philips Ekow Bondzi-Simpson] nears being the voice of government on a day declared as the country’s constitution day”

President Akufo-Addo has declared January 7, a Constitution Day and a National Holiday while canceling July 1 as Republic Day. The Day, according to government is in recognition of the commencement of the 4th Republican Constitutional dispensation on January 7, 1993.
